Kasper Adriaensen

Kasper is a professional generalist game developer, who freelances at LUCA to help students take their prototypes to the next level.

Pivoting from—but never quite abandoning—a background in linguistics (KU Leuven, 2010), he has been active in the Belgian games industry since 2010. He has contributed to the market-leading Liftoff simulator franchise and hacking RPG Midnight Protocol alongside a variety of applied games in the fields of education, healthcare and culture, and has acted as PhD supervisor within the CHARMING European Training Network.

His interests include the potential of games and play for making complex or abstract systems accessible to a general audience, the application of games in both formal education and beyond, and the affordances of interactive media for storytelling and prose.
